About Us

West Union Monument Company has served the community for over 77 years. It was founded in 1946 by Harry Verly who was later joined by his brother Elmer. Together, the two created a reputable business based on expertise, exceptional quality, fair prices and honest management.

Elmer Verly sold West Union Monument Company to his son and daughter-in-law John and Deb Verly in 1972. In 1999, Lance Banwart, a long-time employee, bought the company. Lance has since continued Verly’s legacy by continuing to practice the same values and customer service.
